I think that's what most of the clubs would like... But, in my opinion, some of what's being done is at the expense of the health of the dogs. There's been a lot if inbreeding from the beginning, so that contributes to some genetic issues. There are some Biewer breeders here in the US who are working on the problems with the Biewer. I personally think it will be quite awhile, if ever, before they get accepted as a separate breed. After all, they are a yorkie -- just with different colors. Exactly like the Parti yorkie -- which are recognized as a yorkie -- with different colors.
