I bought the Pet Steps they sell on Amazon. They are made of plastic and have carpeting on the steps. I notice the price has gone up quite a bit since I purchased mine.
Amazon.com: Pet Gear Easy Step III Pet Stairs,...Amazon.com: Pet Gear Easy Step III Pet Stairs,... They look OK. Of course not as lovely as the wooden ones but they are light weight and easy to move when cleaning and they are very sturdy. My grand kinds have used them several times just for fun. I think they are supposed to hold up to 120lbs.

When you are looking online for steps always look for the actual height of the steps. Sometimes they picture them as much bigger than they actually are. Some are only actually a foot tall. Measure the height of your bed and figure how tall the steps will need to be.

Gracie was 6 months old before she would use the steps. She was really too small to make it up them until that. I had to teach her how to do it since we don't have steps in our home.
