I use it for Pixie. She became afraid of thunder and then progressed to being afraid of rain, airplanes overhead etc. The thunder shirt helps somewhat. It worked better in the beginning when she was just afraid of thunder. It usually stops the shaking but she still pants and acts frantic. I had to put her on medicines for awhile but weaned her off.
I think you need to have the thunder shirt pulled pretty tight to work.
