I've been feeding my new puppy, Stella & Chewy's freeze dried raw. I feel the same way about feeding raw, as far as the frozen raw patties are concerned. Depending on the brand of canned food that you feed, you won't get mushy stool.

I have a very dear friend, that one of her Yorkies kept developing bladder infections, and she ended up having surgery, and the Vet said she had the largest stones he'd ever removed from a dog.
