pat was released by neuro doc to go back to acute rehab like 4 days ago and was moved down to the 6th floor while waiting on a bed to open up at rehab. It was fine when the hospital PT was getting him up to the chair daily, but they don't work on the weekends, so yesterday pat was trying like crazy to get out of his bed. PT isn't comfortable with letting the nurses get him up because of his weak right side. It took three of us to try to keep him in the bed. He even figured out how to get to the latch to drop down the bed rails.
We have to have a rehab to transfer him to tomorrow, I'm so worried for his safety and him getting out of the bed, he would fall. His sees to safety limits at all, doesn't see the danger to himself whatsoever. I'm praying we have a bed tomorrow or can find another acute rehab to send him too.
