The thing is, the new pup will be eating ok @ home (the breeder's) but once it's taken away from it's Mom & litter mates & put into a totally new environment, it can get stressed out & not eat. So then, the new owner gets desperate & tries feeding it all sorts of different foods to get the pup to eat & that ultimately causes stomach upset. Now the pup refuses to touch any food bc s/he has a tummy ache.
Many times, we are too bz & just want to put the dog food in the bowl & set it down & they will eat...it's not like that for many! You NEED to keep calm, sometimes sit w/them on the floor & watch them eat. I've done this since they were pups & still sit next to them when they eat. Take a breath, have a seat & watch your pooch enjoy their meal loll.
