OP, don't take the advise of people who have been where you are and trying to help you avoid painful mistakes - you'll live and learn. Just don't support puppymills and disreputable breeders who grind out puppies without full health-testing(not just a vet exam but the full course of tests) of the breeding pair or knowing the health problems of the ancestors of each. They flood the market with very badly genetically-flawed little dogs for people to buy and sellers tell people they are from family farms and retired rich couples with sparkling kennels and fine homes. Don't fall for it. The lives of their so-called "breeders"? You couldn't stand to see it - I promise. You would throw up to see where so many of those darling puppies come from. You couldn't take knowing what they go through trying to make babies & live 24/7 only in a filthy/feces-ridden cage where the urine odor filling their shed scalds their eyes. When you buy one of their dogs, you are supporting the disgusting way they breed and the dungeon life of their "breeders" as the owners pocket your money. The dogs they sell pay a huge price in suffering from all they've inherited. But, live and learn if you don't want to listen to advice.
