How many times a day is he pooping? Puppies will often poop more, but it's not a bad thing if he's taking longer to poop... as long as he's going, and not backed up, I'm not sure why you'd wanna speed things up? As long as his stool is solid and normal, I am sure he is digesting it. Be careful changing food much with a young pup. I would just keep him on the same thing for a while to get him acclimated.
