They removed his drain tube yesterday morning, he will be moved out of ICU as soon as a bed is open. PA was having speech in for swallow test to get him back on foods and PT to get him back up and moving. He'll be sent back to rehab shortly. He was remembering several things and my heart simply melted, I bawled like a baby. Pat said, it's ok, don't cry...bless his heart.
Honestly, this is the best he has been since his accident.

Truly amazing news that he's gotten so much memory back this soon after such damage! Wow, remembers 17 of the married years and you - HUGE - and so telling of how much he can regain. I imagine you are just crazy with happiness over this. Way to fight, Pat!!! It's amazing. Hang in there in courage and hope as you have been, Tena. All still praying for you two.
