I think some poodles are just built very thin.

I had 2 miniature poodles from the same litter, they lived together their whole lives, ate the same food (wet for dinner and free fed dry), and went out the same amount.

One was very tall, long, and thin like a greyhound, you could always see her ribs a little. It was just how she was built and she was extremely active. She'd get the zoomies a lot and bounce in place. Her weight only became a problem towards the end when we were having a hard time getting her to eat. She lived to be 15 1/2.

The other was built like a bulldog, short, stout, muscular/chubby. She wasn't nearly as active as the other poodle. She lived to be 14 1/2.
