I adore Idris - just think he's great though I haven't seen him in that many things actually. He's really a good actor though and - not hard to look at - it's those eyes. Is he a detective in Luther?
I watched some British series on BBCAmerica called The Hour or something like that that wasn't that great and hasn't been back. Wasn't a mystery or anything and you couldn't really warm to any of the characters but seems like there was a ?spying? ?cold war? connection there at the end that I was interested in but maybe I'm mixing it up with another series. I did want to follow that part of the story but haven't seen the show advertised again.
Sally, do you all get a show called Scandal all about DC politics? It's very popular and hot right now here in the USA. Every time it runs Twitter trends Scandal and the Tweets just pile up. It's been trending here off and on for the last two hours and the show doesn't even come on until 9:00 pm CST. |

There's a new series coming up - the BBC keep teasing us on their ads...not saying when...!!!
Whitechapel - the first series was excellent (I think!), kind of gory but brilliant storylines - so unique and clever. The last series (which we've just finished this week) I don't think was so good - a bit weird and unbelievable.
Luther - yes, he's a Detective Chief Inspector....and a very good, very handsome one at that!!!
Andy's VERY favourite programme. Apparently they're going to make a movie of it next year, thankfully starring Idris...once again, it's going to concentrate on the back-story.
I didn't personally like The Hour - think I watched just the one episode, and fell asleep during that!
We've had a very good series lately called 'Broadchurch', loved it - and I think you might too. Very evocative of 'a British sea-side town' with a few sinister bits thrown in....
I'm sure we don't have Scandal, but I'll double check....it might be on an obscure channel that I haven't found, out of all the hundreds we have - is it good?
