I also brush their teeth every night, I think it's VERY important & it DOES keep their teeth cleaner for longer, which ='s less dental cleanings.
This was Princess' 1st dental cleaning under anesthesia. They did have to work on her a little longer, so her's cost a little more than Mimi's. Princess will be 5 years old on the 28th. She had anesthesia free cleaning done about a year ago (can't remember the exact time frame, it could've been a year & a half ago). I think that also helped keep her teeth clean between anesthesia dentle cleaning. The prices here in LA is outrageous, but different vets have varying prices, less expensive if it's further inland, away from LA. I took them to my old vet whom I trust (even tho it's farther away now since we moved) & he has the best prices. Pet Dentle month is Feb & you can get 10% off, but he gives us the 10% off any month. I got her complete blood work done a few weeks ago, so she didn't need the blood work done again, so it saved us a little. She had to have an antibiotic injection & more time spent on her meant more anesthesia (isoflurane) & more scaling/ ultrasound so her total was $296 (rounded off).
Mimi will be 7 years old in Jan & this was her 2nd anesthesia dentle cleaning. She also had the anesthesia free cleaning about a year/ year & a half ago. Mimi didn't need blood work done either (she had her 6 month checkup & blood work done w/another vet recently) & no antibiotic injection, so her total was $191. It's weird bc I thought Mimi's teeth looked worse than Princess'!
They're teeth are so WHITE, I think they can glow in the dark!
