Just when I think he is completely potty trained he starts going in the house. Also when can I begin to just let him roam at least around the living room while I am gone?
PLEASE HELP! | I am not sure about 10 hours but am hoping that my Tiger can go to about 9 hours. This is so that when there are days that I cannot go home to relieve him, he won't mess up but on normal days I would say my goal is to relieve him every 7-8 hours. Right now he is holding it pretty good at about 6 1/2 - 7 hours but I did not do this overnight. He started with 4 hours and gradually increased it in increments of 1/2 hour. I do the increase on a weekly basis. You cannot expect Remy to be able to hold it longer than his bladder is used to. . . that is why you need to train it slowly.
Btw, Tiger is only 19 weeks last saturday . . . . so he is still a puppy but is doing so well. He sleeps with me every night and most nights he wakes up once and I automatically take him whether he needs to or not. But there are days when he sleeps straight without any problem. Since I had him sleeping with me at 10 weeks, he has not had one accident. Same with crate training!
Hope this helps . . .good luck! |
