Default What a treat!

Your "recovery dinner" sounds great for your girls!
Our vet has 2 little mix-breed dogs of her own (one is 1/2 Yorkie & 1/2 small Poodle), so I felt confident that she would do a good job in doing Taffy's tooth cleaning with the small amount of anesthesia, as she does it for her doggies.
She said he probably would be 'alert' & interested in eating by p.m., and to let him 'rest' during the a.m. After he had been outside a few times to potty & had some water, he seemed to be perking-up. Vet said to Let him eat a 'mild' treat, like chicken broth, in the afternoon to perk up his appetite. So, after 3-4 spoonfuls of chicken broth, he walked over and ate 1/2 of his Wellness Puppy canned food (I did not mix in any dry kibble the first two feedings). I also rubbed a little bit of the vitamin gel, 'Nutra-Cal', on his tongue right before he got the chicken broth--the vet said that would be fine and the vitamins would help his system, but just a small amount. So, he was all fine by day two.
