Oh, so sweet! He misses his daddy. Get him busy enriching his life and doing his obedience training, some extra walks, time outside and challenging games and he'll adjust in a while. Dogs are hugely practical animals and adapt to changes quite readily if they are kept busy until they make the adjustment to the new reality. I'd love to see a picture of that if you get the chance.
Thank your husband for me for his service to his country and the same to you and the kids. The family serves also in their own way. I'm praying for his safe return.
