I agree, I like them solid and hearty for all the reasons you mentioned and more. I do seem to think they are a bit diff than the Yorkies. I raised Yorkies for quite a few years. Biewer's seem to be a little more laid back,. less yappers and they don't seem to have that chase instinct . They do love the outdoors and explore but they love to please and are so very very smart and loving ....Quick learners !
