When I first came here I was in a similar situation, attending college, wanted a pup, but was concerned about leaving it alone for long periods every other day. I decided to listen to what other members told me, and to wait until life was a little more settled. That being said it's 3 years later and I'm still being patient. LOL. But one member told me something that really stood out, and that was to do what I HONESTLY felt was good for the pup....That's a decision you have to make.
But I agree with the previous poster if you HAVE to have your yorkie now, a young adult would be better. Pups are BABIES imagine leaving a baby home alone for 12 hours.
