As this is a common problem for some new yorkie owners. I would love for another more knowledgeable member to chime in and assist. I hope you get the help that is necessary. As one thing I do know is patience is important but consistancy is key. Possibly these sugvestions may help.

Time eating schedule perfect.

Takr pup withing 20min to potty
no off pad until done. Bring treats & use go potty command.
Praise and treats when done.
If not ready. Crate until its time again.
If middle of night is problem. No water after 7.
Your enthusiastic voice always helps. When mess up happens. No negative or stressful situation or behavior added on your behalf. They are young and may easily be confused as to what your teaching them. Good luck. Hopefully this will help and we can get you some great advice. Do not give up. !
