They are also asking for Canadians to send in their vet bills for their pets, as they want to accumulate that information for understanding what pet owners pay across the country for vet care.
The gist of the 10 vet clinic investigation, is that the same healthy dog was taken to 10 different vet clinics for a "wellness" examination; and there was quite a divergent methodology, costs, recommended testings, and so on.
With 8.5 million dogs in Canada (According to a relatively recent survey by the Canadian Veterinary Association) and double the amount of cats; this too is very big business in Canada.
