I too love this idea, as I live right at the beach. I am now looking for some authentic heavy duty fishing net like the big trawler boats use, so it will go to the nautical theme of my house :-) plus I love I can attach it right to the risers of the stairs themselves since the litter bugger can fit under the bottom rail and the step itself so that will work well for closing off the entire space from the top of the railing, all the way to the floor of each riser.
