When the wrist fractures, surgery is needed. A splint only works 5% of the time!! Those are tiny bones and they do not heal well that way.
Good luck...I am so sorry this has happened.
The vet thinks that due to the nature of the fracture the splint is the better option. Obviously if in 4-6 weeks we still have a problem, we will have to consider surgery, but because a very very small bit of bone has just came off the side of the joint and hasnt moved away it should be ok.
