Default Any tips on getting dogs used to being alone??

Hello All,

Both of my boys are used to being with someone pretty much 24/7. Once in a while, they may have been left for a few hours while we run to the grocery store, but otherwise, my SO was home with them all of the time.

Anyways...my living situation has changed for the moment as my SO will be out of town for at least a month. I, of course, have to keep working and put a roof over my head for the boys and I...so this means they will be home alone a lot more. Yesterday, they were home alone from 12:30 to 10:30, but I did come home on lunch from 4:30-5:30 to feed them and let them out. Most days won't be that long, but I still absolutely hate the thought of them being home alone.

When I left yesterday, my older male was eating and doing fine and I came home to him having a bad stomach ache. IDK if he gorged himself on Ricky's food(since I wasn't there to regulate who ate what) or if his tummy is upset bc nobody was home....but I feel awful about it.

I am going to be purchasing a nanny cam that I can hook up to my phone so I can watch them and I leave the TV on when I am gone. Is there anything else I can do to help them feel more comfortable while they are home alone??
