No, mine goes completely under the covers. He will stand on my pillow & paw at the cover which means "Lift it up, hooman, I'm ready for sleep". His faithful human will lift the blanket & under he goes, walking across whatever body part happens to be in his way, until he ends up around knee level. There he will snuggle in, as tightly as he can, making it impossible for the "hooman" to move again for the rest of the night.
Sometimes when on the sofa, he doesn't get completely under "his" blankey & his little butt sticks out...
