I would lean toward floating the ZP in water just to increase water intake even though it's not necessary and many dogs will drink enough on their own. I always soak the pups' kibble in water just to make sure they are getting enough fluids (I even will add water to wet food)...just my preference to promote good urinary tract health. ZP is an awesome food! I used to feed it as a treat meal...I added some green beans and/or a couple tablespoons of canned pumpkin to bulk up the meal and add some fiber though. The food is so nutrient dense that you don't need to feed very much!
