I agree, check out the bag for feeding guidelines, and feed a little less. I think food companies overestimate. Wellness, I think would be closer to 3/4 cup a day for a 3 pound puppy, especially if you are adding a little chicken. Plain chicken is fine to add as long as it doesn't exceed about 10% of your pup's daily intake. This is so you don't upset the balance of nutrients that your pup is getting.
