Oh, we do live for cold. Cold is good and this is cold to native Texans I grew up with. We kinda live for cold after our hot summers. Prob. those people bundled up were the transplants as we Texans usually barely get a jacket on by January. I don't even have a winter coat or hat and actually don't know anyone that does. Summers usually get you so tired of hot weather, you enjoy feeling good cold air.
Now when it was down below 10 degrees the year of the Superbowl, ice and snow and the electricity was going out 3 or 4 times that one day, I did wear two sweatshirts and a jacket, gloves outside - still no hat. LOL. That was what we tend to call
real cold and I sure was glad we didn't have that to look forward to winter after winter! I think the low 20's is about as cold as this Texan likes it.
