You might be getting the profile picture and the avatar picture mixed up. The profile picture is the picture that shows up on your profile page. The avatar is the picture that shows up next to your posts. You can have a bigger profile picture than avatar and you have uploaded a picture on you profile page. You could make it a little bigger. For your avatar, just upload a picture here:
