Hi guys. So I've never been on the forum before but I'm looking for some advise from owners. I've asked some breeders and friends and family what they think and it seems there is no right or wrong answer, just opinion. I've always wanted a yorkie. I currently own a miniature english bull terrier. He's 2 yrs old, neutered, very polite and even tempered and gets along with all dogs, even my mothers maltese and many other little ones from our neighbourhood. We would like to add a second dog to our family and I would love it to be a yorkie but I'm not sure if that's an appropriate choice. My mini BT is 30lbs. He's quite muscular, very low to the ground (short legs) and very athletic. Basically what I'm not sure of is whether its a good idea to have a toy breed with a larger dog. And also, how do yorkies generally do with larger dogs? Are they usually timid towards dogs that are bigger? Mostly I see people with small dogs usually stuck to small dogs and larger breeds same thing. So what is the overall opinion or general consensus on adding a yorkie to a family with a bull terrier?
