Fluid accumulated in the open space been the frontal bone and the brain which had not absorbed and as the brain was rising, it was causing pressure and small bloody area. Surgeon went in a small area of the incision and found found no infection that he could see, drained the fluid and put in a small drain tube for a couple of days in attempt to keep it from returning. Pat was only in surgery a little over an hour. At this point it looks very positive and they tell me, this is not uncommon. We have faith, will keep praying and by God's grace will be able to move forward and some rehab.
We love you all for your continued thoughts and prayers. |
Tena, you and Pat are going through the wringer right now. I'm just so sorry but thanks to great doctors, it sounds as if you are getting through these things bit by bit, hope upon hope. I'm still and always praying for the two of you, especially Pat. Praying memory comes back and better than before this last setback. Keep hoping, keep believing.
