I have had four and until me moved I decided no more. I had to use a regular water dish for about two weeks when we moved and I found Callie drank more and was much happier with just the regular aluminium bowl. The fountains have to be cleaned weekly or they get slimy and most of them are VERY hard to clean even the ones that claim to be easy to clean are not. They have tiny pieces that snap here and there and it is such a pain. They also do splash some so you will have to keep a towel under it.
