I think you're probably right, but until the CKC or AKC changes the standard, I don't think the reputable breeders will change their practices. They breed according to standard based on what I've learned so far ! I don't mind the little nub at all, but a tail is what they were born with, and for that reason alone I'd like my next buddy to have his or her tail
