I think if you wait long enough, I'm sure tail docking will be a thing of the past everywhere.There are now many many vets who refuse to do it here and 95% of our breeders refuse to have it done to their pups now too.
As for the OP, a playpen works wonderfully
It's easier to clean and your pup will have much more space to sleep, eat, potty and play.It's like their own little condo
