Yes, I'd give the Tramadol.
Gabapentin is a good drug when nerve pain is present.

They can xray without sedation, it just may not be as revealing. The thing about discs is that they don't really show up on xray. Depends on how messed up things are in there, the vet may or may not see the problem. So in cases where imaging is indicated, usually other methods are used (MRI, myelogram).

Keeping her still is very important. This isn't uncommon, but that much nerve involvement isn't good. If you want to do everything possible to fix this then you'll need a neurologist.
