I have 2 fountains. My pups like this one better:

But it's really a hassle to keep clean. So time consuming
But they do love it...especially the little one.
I bought this one thinking it would be easier to keep clean:

It is ALOT easier to clean - no multiple parts. But compared to a water bowl, still a hassle.
Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I like fresh water & I like to have multiple water bowls around the house. The fountains are sitting in my kitchen pantry & I rinse and change out their water bowls about 3 times a day.
Every couple of months, I pull a fountain out & set it up. After a few days, I remember why they're sitting in the pantry
