About a week ago Henri and I went to Spokane Valleyfest Responsible Owner Day event, it was an event all about dogs and it was huge! We had so much fun and even bought something really cool.
There was this sketch artist there, you know like the ones they have a street fairs that will give you a quick sketch for only $5-$10. He had a bunch of sketches he had done hanging and they were beautiful, but they were all of people. I couldn't help myself, I walked up to him and said "I know this is an odd request, but can you draw dogs? Can you make a sketch of my Yorkie?" He smiled and said sure, so I sat down with Henri on my lap and watched as he sketched a picture of my sweet boy. The artist told me the only other dog he had drawn was his and those were only caricatures. Well, it turned out beautifully! I was so happy, I told him I was going to frame it when I got home. He said it was an honor to draw Henri and that he was glad that I liked it.
Needless to say, I went to Michaels on the way home to pick up a frame (it also just happened to be their frame sale, how lucky is that?).
