 Ginger and PLE issues
Hi...Once again it has been awhile since I've been on here but need some advice. Without going through the entire story again I'll try to be brief. Ginger is now 10 years old, he was diagnosed with PLE in 2010. Since that time he has been on Budesonide daily, diet consists of Potato/Rabbit only. He has been through so much with his teeth that in June 2013 most of them had to be pulled. Since that time he has sneezing fits while eating. Our vet referred him to a Vet Dentist that we are to see on Oct. 7, she is thinking he has a fistula caused by not healing properly after the teeth removal. I am a wreck in putting him through another surgery, wondering if he will heal properly after being on steroids for 3 years. I have to mention that he has lost all his fur and am told he may never get his beautiful coat again. He is down to 5 pounds, looks so pathetic I could cry. Do I keep putting him through this agony or keep fighting????? Could someone help me through this decision, please. |
