Poor Stanley! I don't understand people either. Max is great with people, but we had a bad experience recently that has made him more cautious. A very large man wanted to pet Max. When I gave the go ahead, the man smacked Max on the top of the head. Max snapped at him and immediately went into the sit position (like he knew what he did was wrong). I was so stunned, I didn't know if I should correct Max, but I couldn't really blame him.
