My breeder was about 2 hours away from me, however I could have visited Gina anytime I wanted to, if I wanted to spend 4 hours in the car. She did send weekly pictures and had a video up each week, so we could see our soon to be furbaby. If your breeder is as close as you say, then ask, if, when, and how often you could visit. If she says no you can't, and won't let you see the mother and other puppies, then I'd steer clear, and find another breeder. It never hurts to ask, and the worse they can say is no. Good luck, and I hope you get many visits before bringing your furbaby home.
