I can only imagine the level of your suffering due to this tragedy. I can tell you are hurting badly but posting this story WILL help other little Yorkies as many doglovers will read this and take it as a lesson. I know it hurt to post this and pour out your heart but getting it out in writing and talking about the circumstances of the tragedy, the pain and all your feelings does really help somehow. Hopefully in time the pain will begin to lessen and the acute horror pass, allowing you to begin to heal. It takes a long time to get somewhat past really awful things like this so you can function better and it does change one forever. You never forget and the love for your special little one stays in your heart for a lifetime. But speaking out as you did is the best way to help yourself and others and that should warm your heart a little as likely many will change their ways of traveling in cars with their dogs unsecured after reading this. We have to be so careful of these little ones and be sure they are belted in, protected and safe just as we are. My heart just goes out to you.
