Welcome to Yorkie Talk and congratulations on the new addition to your life! Looking forward to seeing Napoleon's pictures.
I would have your vet evaluate his body weight. Before my first Yorkie came into my life, I thought all Yorkies were plumper. This is not standard. When you look down on his back, he should ideally have a waistline. You should also be able to feel his ribs with a gentle squeeze. Finally, he should have a "tuck," which means the stomach is not as low as the chest.
Is he neutered? Unneutered males will be even thinner.
I would feed a little less than the guidelines on the food bag, which tend to be a little generous in the amount suggested for most dogs.
