In my opinion a regular vet should never ever do Luxating Patella surgery in fact there was a person on here who's regular vet did it and it had to be re done by an orthopedic specialist so please please go get a second opinion from an orthopedic specialist and if surgery is necessary have him do the surgery. Also xrays are useless with LP.
