Florida has only one toad that has a dangerous toxin to small animals, the Marine toad (a.k.a., Giant toad or Cane toad). They are only found in the southeastern coastal region (Dade Co. and Monroe County), a small area on the southwest coast (Lee and Glades County), and a small area near Tampa (Pinellas County and nearby areas). So, Marine Toads will only be a threat if you live in or near those areas of Florida.
