Thanks all. He is conked out in his bed right now, dreaming his little yorkie dreams. I'm so happy with him. I got him to play (I was surprised, since my old girl never did play much anymore), he ate and peed. Oh! And I got him to kiss me on the nose!
So, I guess that is what he needs to do on a first day? I'm going to take a photo a day in one spot to watch him grow.
