Hello, I have a 5 month old male yorkie named Otis. He is cute as a button, but has a bad biting and growling problem. He seems to do it when he is playing and it gets worse when he doesn't get his way (For example, holding him when he wants out of your arms). I have tried everything from doing a high pitch yelp when he bites, putting him in his cage when he is too aggressive, and giving him a chew toy instead. If anything, he has been biting even harder since we’ve had him, and has even brought out blood!

For the record, this isn’t our first yorkie. Unfortunately our other Yorkie passed away in May at 10 years old, and we got Otis shortly after this event. We bought him from the same breeder as our other dog, and we never had any problems like this with our other dog.

So are there any other suggestions? Will Otis grow out of this? Should I just keep doing what I’m doing?
