He has five days worth of meds for infection and swelling. I'm not sure what to do. Should I take him back and ask him to check again or give the meds time to work? Our vet does dentals, but I do not know how knowledgeable he is about teeth. I know that warm compresses are bad for humans with abscesses so I better hold off on Barney until I know for sure. Here's a photo. The big bump beneath the eye is the infected part. His eye is weepy in the photo, but there hasn't been any "gunk" coming out of it. By the way, I know how pitiful it looks. It breaks my heart to see him looking like this. But I don't really know what else to do at this point. I just hope that whatever is in there comes out soon. It looks painful.
