I just got home from the Vet she is healthy and happy and has the best temperament however she is so tiny. Is this a normal size for a yorkie puppy at 4 mo of age?
Any advice would be great, Thanks! |
Welcome to Yorkie Talk, and congratulations on your adorable little girl.
She definitely is tiny, and may only top out around 2 or 3 lbs. full grown. The Yorkie standard is typically 4 to 7 lbs., although there are some smaller and some larger.
You are on the right track in keeping her safe. Don't let anybody hold her unless they are sitting on the floor. Pups are so wiggly she can be dropped and seriously injured in a second. You probably know that they are susceptible to hypoglycemia if they don't eat regularly or if they play too hard. Know the symptoms, and have NutraCal to treat her with if necessary.
In case you haven't seen this here is a link to a lot of new puppy info from the YT library.

Good luck to you, and to the others with new little ones too.
