Hello everyone,

I am now a 1st time “daddy” of a yorkie namedMax. I have to admit I wanted a GermanShepherd and she wanted a yorkie. So wecame to a “compromise” and got a yorkie. But after about a month this dog is winning my heart. Smart, playful, lovable – how can someone notmelt for this dog? He picks up commands afterabout 3 tries. He was very easy to padtrain. And his poo is a heck of a loteasier to clean up than a shepherd. Icome home from work, lay on the floor in the family room and yell “Daddy’shome!” He comes running with his tail wagging so hard his whole butt is goingback and forth. We are going through theobligatory puppy training classes and the teacher took us to the side and saidMax would be a great dog to go for the trick title certificate. She said Max was the only dog in the classshe thought was capable (yea I know – she probably said that to all the owners)of earning it. So we start those lessonsthis Friday.

This board seems to be full of some very knowledgeablepeople and I am glad we found it.
