My Yorkie might be depressed.... Hello Fellow Yorkie lovers….. Im new to “yorkietalk” andam very concerned with my 5yr old tea-cup Yorkie named Minnie (girl). LastThursday my Wife and I got another Yorkie “Ted” (boy) who is 9 weeks. For themost part Minnie has always been around other Yorkies but has always been moreof a cuddlier and never played with toys or other dogs. She likes belly rubsand head massages. She also loves to sleep and relax. She has never really playedwith other dogs or toys (Minnie the Diva) but has always been able to co-existwith the Yorkie Puppies she grew up with and other dogs in her life. She wouldsimply growl and snap at them if they got to close and then go about herbusiness. Minnie is very territorial and loves mommy and daddy and since werecently got another pup she has been acting different. She growls and snaps atTed whenever he follows her and when he trys to play with her. Of course hekeeps coming back for more and growls and barks right back at her. Minnie’s eyes are fixated on Teds every move. What’sconcerning is Minnie hasn’t been eating or drinking water as much as shetypically does since we got Ted. She still eats and drinks but her mind is on Ted.Last night around 10pm she had diarrhea and it continued into the night. Aboutan hour ago she threw up and had a bit more diarrhea. Nothing has changed in her diet other than hernot eating as much because she watches Ted’s every move. She had a small pieceof chicken last night but has had chicken in the past and has never had anyissues with it. I don’t think it’s the chicken that got her sick I think it maybe the new dog. Do you guys think thingswill get better or is Minnie always going to act this way with Ted since she isno longer the CENTER OF ATTENTION? Please help as I want to fix problem before Minniegets really sick… Thanks in advance. PS. I will upload pictures of Minnie & Ted later. Thanks a bunch… Minnie’s Dad…… |
