I can not get my dog to eat anything.
When she arrived from the breeder I was told she started her on Royal Canine and a alittle Cesar mixed with it. NOPE she hated the hard food only eat the soft. I tried a ton more brands of hard food to give her for teeth however she only wanted the soft.
During our last month in the US we spent time at both parents house she quit eating the Cesar food So I stared a bunch of other soft foods and she wouldn't eat it. Went back to the Cesar and had to hand feed it to her. When we were at my mother in laws she started eating her dogs hard food Purina puppy chow. I ran right out and bought this. Lasted 2 days.
When we flew to Germany she did have a few bites of people food and when we were living in a hotel for 2 months she also had some bites. She then stopped the Cesar food again (US brand) why I was out I found in a German store Cesar soft food same maker many more flavors then the 6 I can get here on base she eat them for about 2 days and stopped wouldn't even go near the bowl after that. I have since tried a ton more dog food US and German and nothing.
I had to take her to the doctor last week for a UTI so I asked why I was there. He said to put her hard food down and leave it she will eat when she hungry. I informed him I have done that and she wont eat all day some times 2 then I break and give her some people food. He said give her 7-10 days and she will eat. WHAT! I cant do that. My husbands saying the same thing she will eat when shes hungry but she will wake me up at night and take me to the kitchen and look at me. This dog hates food I don't know what to do.
I had a lab for 13 years and last her the week before Bailey came to join the family. She is such a diff dog. I love my dogs like babies Im going nuts here I don't know what to do. I feel like if I wait her out she will starve.
