Lynzy, a Like of a Page stays in a person's Personal Likes.
A Like of an item that a Page has shared shows up in the Newsfeed shared amongst friends but not on a person's Page.
A Share of a Page is sort of a mini advertisement for that Page and stays on the person's wall who Shared (it unless they take it down) and also shows up in the Newsfeed of friends.
I try to make a habit of Friending those Business Pages I've Liked if I know them. I also change my settings by hovering over the Like button Business Pages & check next to Get Notifications/See Feed so that I can see what's happening with them without having to visit hundreds of Pages.
